ISÈRE and DORON OF BOZEL
Two famous rivers! The first regularly hosts international canoeing competitions, the second is known for its power and speed.
ISÈRE:
The day will begin in Bourg Saint Maurice and relatively easy passages. With the approach of the Aime rapids, the river accelerates and intensifies until the final straight. We continue through the ‘’Gorge de la Pucelle’’, pass the Roman bridge and then finally meet the Centron rapids.
In total, 24km of river sport.
You will have earned your picnic at the water’s edge!! (for you to provide).
DORON de BOZEL:
At Moûtiers, turn left to Brides-les-Bains to raft on the Doron Bozel. It’s fast, it’s steep, with one rapid after another, so no downtime. This route surprises us from the beginning by the speed and the continuous sequence of the waves and short fast corners. At the end you can sit back and enjoy the light of the late afternoon on the trees as you rest before going to the hotel…. Absolutely wonderful!
By late afternoon we head to Italy via Roziere station and the ‘’Petit Saint Bernard Pass’’. We will sleep at an hotel either in Rozière or in the Aosta Valley, according to the availability.
